Balayage in Broomfield, CO
Balayage is a free-hand highlighting technique — color painted on by hand rather than foiled in uniform sections — built to grow out soft instead of leaving a hard line at your roots. At Mahne Roots Collective, it's one of the services we're most known for.
Who does balayage here
Jadyn Jester, our Senior Stylist and Educator, leads with balayage as one of her core specialties, alongside vivid color and custom color work. Amanda also specializes in balayage, along with vivid colors and color corrections. Either can walk you through what's realistic for your hair at a consultation.
Partial or complete — what's the difference
Partial Balayage — $190–$255. Highlighting applied to the top half of the head — a lighter, lower-maintenance option that still gives real dimension.
Complete Balayage — $265–$355. Full-head, free-hand highlighting for a more dramatic, all-over lightened look.
Which one actually fits your hair and the look you want is exactly what a consultation is for — your stylist will tell you honestly if you're between the two rather than upselling the bigger service.
Balayage upkeep in Colorado's climate
Colorado's air is thinner and drier than almost anywhere else in the country, and that affects lightened hair specifically — dry strands pick up brassiness and lose their tone faster here than they would somewhere more humid. Most balayage clients in our chairs come back for a gloss or toner refresh between full color visits to keep the color looking intentional rather than faded.
Balayage FAQ
How much does balayage cost?
Partial Balayage runs $190–$255, and Complete Balayage runs $265–$355, depending on your hair's length and thickness and how much lightening it takes to get you there.
How do I know if I want partial or complete?
That's what your consultation is for — your stylist will look at your current color, your hair, and the look you're going for, and tell you honestly which one gets you there.
How often do I need to come back in?
It varies by how fast your hair picks up brassiness, but most balayage clients here come in for a gloss or toner refresh between full re-balayage appointments, especially given how dry Colorado's air is on lightened hair.
Do you take new clients for balayage?
Yes. Consultations are always free.
