Mahne Roots Collective ("we," "us," "our") is a hair salon at 11566 Colony Row, Broomfield, CO 80021. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, mahnerootscollective.com, and how we use it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, just ask.
The short version
We're a salon, not an online store. You can't create an account or check out on our site, and we don't collect payment information here. The information we do collect is mostly about how visitors use the website, plus what you share with us to book an appointment or get in touch.
What we collect
Website usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site — which pages get viewed, and clicks on our booking links. We also use Google Search Console to see how our site shows up in Google search results. Neither of these involves payment or account information, because our site doesn't have either.
Booking information. When you book an appointment or buy a gift card on our Book page, the form you fill in is Vagaro's, an outside scheduling service embedded in our site; you can also book by calling us directly. Vagaro collects and handles your booking details on our behalf, under its own privacy policy — we encourage you to review it before booking. When you call us at (720) 240-9391, your call is answered by our receptionist, who may be working remotely.
Appointment texts. If you book with us, you'll receive appointment-related texts from our business phone number. Clients who already receive these texts may occasionally get a single same-day text asking for a review after a visit. We don't use text messaging for marketing beyond that.
Direct contact. If you email us at rootshairstudio303@gmail.com or message us on social media, we'll have whatever information you choose to share in that message.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information to anyone.
- We don't store payment card details. Payments made online are processed and stored by Vagaro, not by us.
- We don't require an account to use our site or to book with us.
Third parties involved
- Vagaro handles online booking under its own privacy policy.
- Google provides the analytics and search tools mentioned above.
- Metricool is the tool we use to schedule our social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok; it doesn't collect information from website visitors.
Cookies and similar technology
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors and understand site usage, and its data is kept under Google's standard retention settings. You can control or clear cookies through your browser's settings at any time.
Children's privacy
Our website isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children online.
Your choices
You can decline cookies in your browser, and you can always reach us directly by phone or email instead of using a form or a booking widget if you'd rather not share information online.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll update the effective date above. We recommend checking back occasionally.
