Hair Extensions in Broomfield, CO
How much do hair extensions cost in Broomfield?
A hand-tied install is $350 to $400, and additional rows are $125 to $150 each, depending on the hair quality, the length and who does the application. The hair itself is ordered for you and priced separately, so your total depends on how much hair the install takes and which install approach fits, and both are settled at the consultation before your first install rather than quoted off a list. We install hand-tied, tape-in and K-tip extensions. Hand-tied is the one with a published price, and which method suits you comes down to your natural density, the length you are after, and how much upkeep you want to take on.
Do I need a consultation before my first install?
For a first install, yes. We have to match your color and order your hair before the appointment, and the approach depends on your density and your length goals, so that visit is where the hair gets chosen and the full cost gets quoted. If you already wear extensions and just need a move-up, you do not need one. Call us and we will book it.
More on how extensions are priced here, and how they hold up in Colorado's dry air, is below.
Mahne Roots Collective offers hand-tied hair extensions, with pricing that starts at $350–$400 for a full install and $125–$150 per additional row. Because the exact price depends on your natural density, length goals, and the method that fits your hair, every install is confirmed at a consultation with one of our stylists — not booked off a price list. Extensions here are done by Nicole, Ally and Amanda: all three install hand-tied and tape-in, and Ally also installs K-tip.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of extensions do you do?
Hand-tied and tape-in extensions with Nicole, Ally or Amanda, and K-tip extensions with Ally. Which install approach suits you depends on your natural density, your length goals and the maintenance you want to take on, and only the hand-tied install has a published price; tape-in and K-tip are quoted at the consultation.
What is an extension move-up, and do I need one?
Yes, eventually — as your own hair grows, the rows sit lower and have to be taken down and repositioned closer to the scalp. That’s a separate appointment from the original install and priced separately ($175–$375, depending on your stylist), and how often you need one depends on how fast your hair grows. You don’t need another consultation for it — give us a call and we’ll book it.
Why isn’t there one fixed price for extensions?
Because two clients asking for “the same” extensions can need different amounts of hair, different install methods and different maintenance. Quoting after we’ve seen your hair is how you avoid a number that changes on the day.
How long does an extension install take?
It varies by method and by how many rows you’re having installed. We work that out with you at the consultation, when we can see your hair, rather than guessing over the phone.
Do extensions need different care in Colorado?
Yes — dry air affects extension hair the same way it affects your natural hair, but not for the reason people repeat. Colorado isn't bone-dry outdoors, but it is drier than most people are used to, and the driest air is indoors in winter, when the heat is running. That is what pulls moisture out of extension hair, which has no scalp oils feeding it.
Do you take new clients for extensions?
Yes. If it’s your first install, start with a consultation so we can match your color, choose the method and order your hair. If you’re already wearing extensions and need them moved up, just phone us and we’ll get you booked.
