She was named 2016 NAHA Men's Hairstylist of the Year, served as USA Cutting Director for Balmain Hair Couture, and her editorial work has appeared in Vogue Italia and Vogue Mexico. Her event work includes the Met Gala, the Emmys, the Grammys, and the Oscars, alongside more than 10 years working Paris and New York Fashion Week. She holds a degree in Fashion Design from FIDM, has taught through the Aveda Institute, and also works internationally as an editorial stylist under the name Nikay Higgins (crowdmgmt.com/nikayhiggins). That career — editorial, fashion, celebrity, runway, education, and creative direction — has shaped the way she sees hair behind the chair.
